About Cora Ritter, LMFT
Cora Ritter is a licensed marriage and family therapist. She completed a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy through Pfeiffer University (of NC) and has over 11 years of experience in a variety of settings, including intensive in-home services, community mental health, alcohol & drug counseling, and outpatient trauma-informed treatment. Prior to working as a therapist, Cora was active-duty US Air Force for nine years as an emergency action controller.
Cora is trained in a variety of treatment modalities and uses CBT, ACT, EMDR, and focused mindfulness. Her focus areas include adults (18+) with a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, and trauma history. She also provides brief couples counseling for discernment, trust & intimacy building, and enhancing communication. She is an LGBTQIA+, poly, and kink ally.
She takes an integrative approach to therapy, and her goal is to guide you towards what will bring value to your life and relationships. She utilizes neurobion (somatic) education to understand the mind/body connection and build emotional language for trauma memory processing. She strives to help others embrace their humanness and create lives worth living.
